Chamber representatives meet Indian envoy

September 16: Representatives from Nepal Chamber of Commerce met Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae on Wednesday. 

The Chamber delegation led by President Rajeshkaji Shrestha discussed issues related to Nepal-India trade, investment tourism, during the meeting at the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.

Ambassador Rae requested the delegation to work on finding ways for Nepal to benefit from the renewal of Nepal-India Trade and Transit Treaty. He requested to focus on 10 products to export in India and to identify possible investment.

During the meeting, Chamber President Shrestha informed that the Chamber is going to organise an interaction programme on the issues. He highlighted the importance of the economic, social and cultural relationship between India and Nepal and suggested that Indian investors invest in Nepal.

Chamber’s Senior Vice-president Lokmanya Golchha, Secretary Santosh Kumar Pandey and Executive Committee member Rastrabhusan Chakubaji were also present during the meeting.
