NAC Aircraft Returns after Maintenance in Israel

April 28: An aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has returned back to Kathmandu after five months following its repair in Israel.

According to NAC Spokesperson Ramesh Poudel, the narrow-body aircraft with call sign 9N-AKX landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Saturday evening after its maintenance in Israel.

Spokesperson Poudel said that the NA aircraft had flown to Israel for repair at the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Company.

Issuing a press statement, NAC Spokesperson Poudel stated that the maintenance and repair works were delayed due the lack of spare parts and accessories. The plane was grounded on December 1, 2023.

The NAC has two narrow-body and two wide-body aircraft for international flights. -- RSS
