Resolve issues through talks, not strikes, says FNCCI

September 7:  Federation of Nepales Chambers of Commerce and Industry has requested one and all to seek solution to strikes and related problems through talks.

The call comes as members of the private sector’s requests to not to resort to strikes goes unheeded. FNCCI says it has come to a conclusion that strikes not only restrict the rights the public, but also force industries to shut down. As a result, the private sector is losing billions of rupees, and this ultimately has a negative effect on the prosperity of the country.

“We oppose all types of strikes,” said FNCCI in a statement. It has demanded that the government respect the contribution of private sector in the national economy and ensure the safety of businesspersons and industrialists.
