NEPSE Surpasses Resistance of 2000-Point with Turnover of Rs 4.80 Billion

April 30: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) marked a significant ascent, surpassing the 2000-point milestone by closing at 2006.28, with a gain of 25.93 points or 1.30% on the third trading day of the week on Tuesady. 

Throughout today’s trading session, 320 different scrips were traded through 75,271 transactions. A total of 11,828,150 shares changed their hands, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 4.80 billion.

Shine Resunga Development Bank Limited (SHINE) emerged as a key player, leading the market with a turnover of Rs 18 crores.

Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL) saw the most substantial increase, soaring by 10% to close at Rs 486 per share. Conversely, Pokhara Finance Limited (PFL) faced the steepest decline, losing 7.18% to end at Rs 679 per share.

In terms of sector indices, all sector indices closed in green territory except Finance Index. The Development Bank Index experienced the highest surge, climbing by 4.90%, while the Finance Index suffered a loss of 1.18%.
