In future, such appreciation will boost the spirit of the Nepali entrepreneurs. Several times, Yeti Airlines has gone through a rough weather. Starting with one DHC-6/300 Twin Otter, Yeti Airlines now has the largest fleet of fourteen aircrafts. The airline has served the isolated population of Nepal living in far-flung mountain areas by providing the only means of transportation and connection to the outside world. Yeti Airlines Domestic Pvt. Ltd. started operations with two DHC-6/300 Series ‘Twin Otter’ aircraft flying to remote areas with STOL (Short Take Off and Landing) airports like Lukla, Phaplu, Lamidanda, Rumjatar and Simikot. Within the last 15 years, it has strengthened and grown to become Nepal’s premier airline. The Airlines have the largest fleet of Seven British Aerospace ‘Jetstream-41’; covering major cities within Nepal from the mountains and hills to the Terai region.

Starting production in Nepal in 1994 with detergent powders, Unilever Nepal now also produces toothpastes, soaps and hair and skincare products. Nearly 150 workers are employed in the factory, one of the biggest in Nepal.

Nepal Rastra Bank had issued them the license on 22 April 2003 and came into operation in April 30 in the same year. Karna Sakya is the Founder President of “KGH Group of Hotels and Resorts”. His contribution towards making a cancer hospital was commendable. Apart from being dedicated entrepreneur in tourism, he is internationally renowned environmentalist and conservationist. He has also written many books like Soch, Khoj, Moj, Ma Sakchu.

Kanchanjunga Tea Estate (KTE) is a self-reliant, progressive organization in a rural sector. KTE is Nepal’s first organic certified tea estate which was established in 1984 AD. KTE spreads over 94 hectare of land and grows organic orthodox tea and exports it to international and national market. Influenced by Darjeeling Tea Entrepreneurs, Dipak thought of starting tea business within the country. KTE now exports tea, coffee and herbal juice to more than 12 countries in the world including Japan, Canada and USA. KTE has been a place for research to various students from various countries.
