 New constitution brings optimism in tourism business

September 21: With the declaration of the constitution, tourism entrepreneurs have said they are optimistic about the future of their business.

Executive Director of Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) Prabesh Aryal said the new constitution will open doors to economic prosperity, and political stability will help attract the investors. 

Entrepreneurs in Kathmandu’s tourist hub, Thamel, have also welcomed the new constitution by organising a candle rally. The rally saw the participation different organisations, and tourism entrepreneurs based in Thamel. “The declaration of the constitution has paved the way for more investment in tourism,” said Chairman of Thamel Development Committee Ram Sharan Thapaliya.  

The tourism sector is Nepal’s second-most foreign currency earning sector. The constitution has also been welcomed by tourism and hotel entrepreneurs based outside Kathmandu.
