NEPSE Records Modest Gain of 3.27 Points, Closing at 2073.53

March 18: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed an increase of 3.27 points or 0.15% to close at 2073.53 on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

During today’s active trading session, a total of 303 scrips were traded on NEPSE, accounting for 53,256 transactions. The market witnessed 7,459,424 shares changing hands, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 2.88 billion.

Gurkhas Finance Limited (GUFL) emerged as the top performer in terms of turnover, with transactions worth Rs 23 crores.

Gurkhas Finance Limited (GUFL), Saptakoshi Development Bank (SAPDBL), People’s Power Company (PPL), and Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (DLBS), each experienced a 10% increase and hit the positive circuit.

On the flip side, Manushi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBS) experienced the most significant decline, dropping by 5.15% and closing at Rs 902 per share.

Nine sectors, including the Finance Index and Development Bank, closed in positive territory, while the remaining sectors ended in the red.

The Development Index saw the most significant growth, climbing by 1.30%, whereas the Manufacturing and Processing sector experienced the highest decline, dropping by 0.82%.
