Chinese Investors in Nepal

January 21: Nepal China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCCI) organised an interaction on the topic of Trade and Investment in Nepal with a 30-member Chinese delegation ofChina Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) led by its vice president Zhang Shenfeng.

NCCCI and CCPIT had signed a bilateral agreement in 2009 to cooperate with each other for promotion of trade, joint investment, market expansion, trade diversification, exchange of visits, tourism promotion among others.

Speaking at the interaction on January 20, NCCCI Chairman Rajesh Kaji Shrestha said that the visit of the Chinese delegation has helped in identifying the areas of cooperation and investment.

The Chinese team includes investors interested in railway, IT, telecommunication, construction, agriculture, engineering among others, according to Zhang.
