Position : Sales Director
This position shall report to an Executive Director and serve as an integral part of the senior management. The overall responsibility of the incumbent will be to maximize the sales revenue of the company. In order to achieve the revenue goal, s/he has to create a strategy and an action plan with measurable milestones and individual targets for every sales person. S/He shall particularly ensure the accomplishment of the following deliverables:
i) Select appropriate and optimum number of team members for the Division (if needed more than the current number of manpower in the department)
ii) Co-ordinate the entire sales team.
iii) Structuralize and assign responsibilities creating appropriate hierarchy in the division
iv) Design, implement and facilitate short- and long-term strategic sales plans, process and budget
v) Designing special offers and schemes of selling
vi) Execution and management of approved promotional activities/campaigns for brand image, promotion and to increase advertisement sales
vii) Develop and implement programs to establish and maintain favorable community and public relations to enhance brand image and position.
viii) Plan to organize the events and other relevant activities inviting the readers, advertisers and the stakeholders
ix) Train the sales team members to make them understand and execute the sales vision and strategy
x) Make provision for periodic review of the performance of the team as a whole and also the individual member of the team
xi) Explore ways of improving existing products and services, and increase profitability.
Requirements:
• Eight to 10 years of managerial experience in senior positions in sales function, ideally (though not essential) in a media and communication organization
• Master of Business Administration and several years’ experience in the media industry
• Strong Marketing and Sales orientation
• Should be able to inspire and motivate the sales team and to create an achievement oriented environment within the company.
Salary: Above Rs 50,000 to 100,000 per month + target incentives
