August 21: Chiranji Lal Agrawal, Chairman of MC Group has been awarded Life-time Achievement Award at 3rd Asian Paints Newbiz Business Conclave and Awards 2016. MC Group is a reputed business family with 100 years of history. He was given the award amid the program organised by New businessage Pvt Ltd on Friday, August 19. Chiranji Lal Agrawal, Chairman of MC (Madan Lal and Chiranji Lal) group has major contribution on Nepali industries and business sector. “I am honored to receive the life-time achievement award due to the contribution made by MC Group in the industrial sector of the country,” proclaims Agrawal.
Agrawal, a senior figure in the Nepali Industrial sector, has closely observed the country’s industrial and business sector who has achieved success by diversification of dynastic profession into industrial form. Agrawal, popular as a proficient manager and honest businessman, was born in 1932 and has graduated from Calcutta University.
Agrawal started his business career at an early age. Apart from traditional business, he has invested in hydropower, banking, insurance, education and health sector at present. He had served in dozens of commercial organisation as a board member as well.
The founder Chairman of Siddhartha Bank, Agrawal has been the President of Nepalese Marwari Parishad. He has been very actively involved in creating the vision and reality of SAFTA and SAPTA. He contributed significantly to the formation of SAARC Chamber, and was a member of the Executive Committee from Nepal. He also served as the first Vice President of Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries and Confederation of Nepalese Industries.
