Hyundai Nepal Organizes Tree Plantation Programme

August 23: Hyundai Nepal concluded its tree planting programme at Ratomate Danda, Chunikhel, under the “Be the Change” campaign. The company informed that more than 200 saplings were planted in coordination with Ratomate Danda Community Forest.

About 150 people of different age groups participated in the programme. More than 40 electric vehicles including Kona and Ionic-6 were driven from Thapathali to Budhanilkantha for the tree plantation programme.

According to the company, tree plantation is expected to minimize the impact of carbon emissions of ordinary vehicles. Similarly, in the upcoming days, the company is planning to organize other programmes related to environmental activities under the same campaign.

In September last year, Hyundai Motor Company announced the goal of maintaining carbon neutrality in all stages of its production and operations by 2045, which is five years prior to the global carbon neutral goal of 2050.

The company is also planning to produce more than 1 million electric vehicles by 2025 with 23 eco-friendly lineups in its journey towards carbon neutrality.
