Israel Pledges to Create more Employment Opportunities for Nepali Labourers

November 17: Israel has expressed its readiness to create more employment opportunities for Nepali labourers.
Israel's ambassador to Nepal Hanan Goder made such commitment during a meeting with Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Krishna Kumar Shrestha at the latter's office on Tuesday.

Ambassador Goder said that Israel was ready to provide jobs for the Nepalis in other professions besides 'care-givers'.
According to the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, during the meeting Minister Shrestha requested Israel's envoy Goder to help create work opportunities for the Nepalis in other sectors as well.
Currently, there are around 12,000 Nepalis labourers working in Israel. As per the labour pact inked between Nepal and Israel in 2020, Israel has provided work opportunities for 1,175 Nepali workers as care-giver who are all set to fly to Israel after completing required tests and examinations.     -- RSS
