The Koshi Province Investment Summit concluded on Friday, May 2, with Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed for 46 projects worth a total of Rs 152.16 billion in investment commitments.
Dr. Saroj Koirala, Chief Executive Officer of the Province Investment Authority, said the agreements were finalized over the course of the two-day summit, the first of its kind held at the provincial level in the country.
The projects span diverse sectors: eight in agriculture, three in energy, 12 in industry, nine in infrastructure, two in information technology, 10 in tourism, and two in waste management.
Of the 46 projects, 19 are set to be executed by the private sector, while 27 will follow a public-private partnership (PPP) model.
The provincial government had showcased 71 projects during the summit, with anticipated investment pledges amounting to Rs 173.49 billion.
