Five Russian nationals have died during an expedition to Mt Dhaulagiri.
The Russian nationals, who had been out of contact from Camp III of Mt Dhaulagiri since Sunday, were found dead on Tuesday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bharat Shrestha of Myagdi District Police Office informed New Business Age that the bodies of the climbers were found 400 meters above the camp.
DSP Shrestha added that the dead bodies of Russian nationals Alexander Dusheyko, Oleg Kruglov, Vladimir Chistikov, Mikhail Nosenko and Dimitri Shpilevoi were recovered from the site.
An aerial search for the climbers was carried out after six members of the expedition team went missing at 11:00 pm on Sunday. One member of the expedition team was rescued alive and airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment, according to police.
