Paramount Motors, the official importer and distributor of MG Motors in Nepal, launched the India-manufactured MG Windsor EV on Wednesday, July 2.
Originally a British brand, MG Motors is now owned by Chinese automotive giant SAIC Motor Corporation.
The new model is available in two variants, Excite and Exclusive, with prices set at Rs 3.799 million and Rs 3.999 million, respectively.
It features a 38 kWh battery pack that offers a driving range of up to 332 kilometers on a full charge, the company claimed. Powered by a 100 kW motor producing 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, the vehicle has four driving modes: Eco, Eco+, Normal, and Sport.
Among its key highlights are 135-degree reclining aero lounge seats, a 604-liter boot, and a 15.6-inch Grandview touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. The EV also boasts wireless charging, smart flush door handles, leatherette seats, and a 360-degree camera.
For safety, the MG Windsor EV is equipped with six airbags and has passed 39 rigorous safety tests, the company added. It carries an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance and offers a six-speaker audio system. The ground clearance is 186 mm, ensuring smooth driving on varied terrains.
Sunil B Chhetri, General Manager of Paramount Motors, said the vehicle combines space, comfort, and premium features to deliver a superior electric driving experience. Since the vehicle is manufactured in India, spare parts are easily accessible, supported by an eight-year warranty on parts and services, he added.
Other MG EV models available in Nepal include the MG 4 EV, MG Comet EV, MG ZS EV, and MG S5 EV, with prices ranging between Rs 3.799 million and Rs 3.999 million.
