Teletalk Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of HMD Global in Nepal, has announced the launch of the HMD Crest Max 5G. The smartphone is designed to deliver powerful performance while promoting long-term usability through enhanced repairability, the company said.
The HMD Crest Max 5G features a triple rear camera setup, including a 64MP main sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, users get a high-resolution 50MP selfie camera, catering to high-quality photography and video call needs.
The smartphone comes with a 6.67-inch Full HD+ OLED display, offering vibrant colors and crisp visuals—ideal for watching videos, browsing, and gaming. It is powered by the Unisoc T760 5G processor and runs on Android 14, offering seamless multitasking and efficient system performance. The device includes 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card.
To support heavy usage, the HMD Crest Max 5G is equipped with a 5000mAh battery and 33W fast charging through a USB-C to USB-C cable. The battery is designed to last through 800 full charging cycles, making it suitable for long-term daily use.
One of the standout features of the device is its “Repairability 1.0” initiative. HMD Global aims to reduce electronic waste and extend product lifespan by allowing users to easily replace core components like the battery, display, charging port, and back panel.
Speaking at the launch, Ravi Kunwar, Vice President for India & APAC at HMD, said, “With the launch of HMD Crest Max 5G, we're not just introducing our first smartphone. We're ushering in a new era of mobile technology that prioritizes creativity, sustainability, and user experience.”
Available in Deep Purple colour, the smartphone is priced at Rs 22,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant in Nepal. It is now available through authorized retailers and online platforms, the company said.
