June 11: Armed Police Force on Sunday rescued two people from Fewa Lake in Pokhara. According to the paramilitary force, the two people had fallen into the lake in course of paragliding from the adjoining hill.
APF said in a statement that the victims lost control of their flight from Sarangkot and fell into the lake due to a sudden gust of wind.
Soon after getting information of the mishap, a rescue team from APF's Malepatan-based Kalika Battallion who were stationed near the lake were mobilised for the rescue operation.
The rescue team led by Sub Inspector Dharmendra Chaudhary rescued 30-year-old Chinese national Liu Fen and 32-year-old Suresh Nepali of Pokhara Municipality-6, Lakeside with the help of a motorboat.
