FNCCI Senior Vice-chair Dhakal Stresses Need for Development of SMEs

January 23: Senior Vice-chairperson of Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries(FNCCI) Chandra Prasad Dhakal said development of the cottage, small and medium-sized enterprises would make a significant contribution to the economic development of the country.

Dhakal urged the government to develop cottage, small and medium-sized enterprises effectively for the national economic development.

Addressing SMEs Summit organized by FNCCI in Lalitpur on Monday, Dhakal complained that development of small and medium-sized enterprises  was not happening as expected, though it was creating the highest number of jobs in the country.

Dhakal said that state of liquidity was easing in the market after the formation of the new government.
Dhakal asked the private sectors to refrain from just blaming the government and policy-makers and start working sincerely to meet the economic goals of the country.

Dhakal expressed confidence that the incumbent government would work to address the problems facing the private sector.
“With the formation of the new government, a positive change has come to the market. I believe that government and policy-makers will work to solve the troubles facing the private sector," he said.
