NA Chair Suggests Small Cabinet to Cut Expenditures

January 3 : Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina of the National Assembly on Tuesday urged the federal government to reduce number of ministries to cut the expenditures.

Speaking at an interaction programme entitled “Provincial Assembly’s Future Responsibility and Speakers Forum Nepal's Duty  organized by Speakers’ Forum Nepal in Kathmandu, NA Chairman Timilsina  advised the government not to increase the number of ministries to share the portfolios to all the ruling parties.

Timilsina suggested the government to form a cabinet of 20 ministries and commit to solve the people’s problems wholeheartedly.
“Forming a jumbo Cabinet will increase the expenses of the state and development work will not pick up the pace. To improve the deteriorating economy, the government will have to be economical,” Timilsina added.

Timilsina also advised to form a small and efficient cabinet at the province.
