Government to Accept Concessional Loan from World Bank   

July 7: The government has decided to accept the concessional loan of SDR 59.6 million to be provided by the World Bank for drinking water sector and infrastructure assistance.  
Unveiling the decisions of the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that the government has decided to accept the concessional loan from the World Bank.

The government has also decided to accept a grant assistance of USD 21 million
in a bid to promote modern and climate-friendly clean energy and to reduce greenhouse gas emission.    
The cabinet meeting also decided to accept USD 8 billion to be provided by the Korean Republic for the establishment of cyber bureau of Nepal Police.    
Similarly, the economic and financial assistance of 4.5 million euros to be provided by the EU would be accepted for promotion of green and renewal energy.     -- RSS
