March 13: The Department of Revenue Investigation (DRI) has registered a writ petition against the Bottlers' Nepal Limited for tax evasion.     
The department registered the writ petition at the High Court Patan on Friday (March 11) demanding clearance of over Rs 7.436 billion from the Balaju-based company.    
The case was filed against the board of directors of Bottlers' Nepal, its managing director and 17 authorized persons mainly responsible for financial transaction and audit.    
The charge sheet has noted that the company was involved in evading tax by not completing the process on payment of capital gains tax. -- RSS
