Dragonair has been voted ‘World’s Best Regional Airline’ in the annual Skytrax World Airline Awards programme for the third time. No other airline has achieved this feat since this category was added to the awards in 2010, says a press release from the airline. Dragonair was also named ‘Best Regional Airline in Asia’ in the same survey.

“It is a great honour to receive such recognition from travellers, and on behalf of Dragonair, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who voted for us,” said Patrick Yeung, Dragonair Chief Executive Officer. Similarly, Cathay Pacific Airways has been awarded the ‘World’s Best Cabin Staff’ and ‘Best Transpacific Airline’ honours in the programme. Cathay Pacific Chief Executive John Slosar represented the airline to collect the awards at the ceremony.
