6th Hi-AiM Conference to start in Crowne Plaza on February 21

January 30: The sixth Hospitality Industry – Architecture, Interiors and Management (Hi-AiM) conference is scheduled to be organised on February 21 and 22 at Crowne Plaza Soaltee. A press conference was held at the Crowne Plaza on January 29 regarding the details of the two days programme presented by Orange Electric, Colombo in association with Asian Paints Nepal and State Bank Nepal.   

According to the organisers, this year's conference has been set in Kathmandu, the hub of regional tourism observing the remarkable recovery by the citizens who were resilient despite of devastating events in 2015. United Nations has declared year 2017 as "International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development".

"The two day event aims to be a common knowledge sharing platform to confer and exchange ideas on key issues and emerging trends in the hospitality industry. The forum will offer a platform to discuss and interact with Industry experts and luminous who participate in the panel discussions which will address some pertinent issues of Hospitality trade," said Anil Kumar Sharma, Joint Managing Director at Hi-AiM Conference.

"The conference will be organised with a purpose to help people who are setting up hotels to understand a better way to create hotels, to design, plan and implement them. It can also be a good platform for other entities related to hospitality industries," expressed Romesh Kaul, Joint Managing Director at Hi-AiM.

250 delegates will be participating from all over the world including Singapore, Hongkong, United Kingdom and some South Asian countries.  The conference will observe around 15-18 exhibitors who will show case the building products which are unique to the market. Hi-AiM will also honor around eight industry stalwarts for the contributions to the Hospitality Sector. The stalwarts of Nepal's Hospitality Industry will be honored by the Hi-AiM Secretariat.

The earlier Hi-AiM conferences among which four were organised in India and the 2016 conference was held in Colombo observed the participation of leading architects from United States, United Kingdom and South East Asia.
