Telecom Cuts Charge for Replacing SIM

November 26: Nepal Telecom has changed the rates for the replacement and reactivation of SIM or RIM cards.  The Telecom has reduced fifty rupees from the usual charge for replacing the lost or damaged SIM of GSM or CDMA mobile phones effective from Thursday.

Similarly, it has also reduced to 90 rupees the charge for reactivation of the SIM or RIM cards frozen after expiry of validity.

The Telecom has said that the newly activated SIM or RIM cards will also carry 5o rupees of ‘talk time value’.

Previously, the Telecom was charging 100 rupees for the reactivation of lost or damaged SIM or RIM cards, whereas it charged 200 rupees for the reactivation of the SIM and RIM cards at the ‘frozen stage’.
