May 21: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a gain of 23.94 points, equivalent to 1.14%, closing at 2115.94 on the third trading day of the week, Tuesday.

During today’s trading, 317 scrips were traded on the NEPSE through 73,667 transactions. As many as 13,241,217 shares changed hands, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 5.20 billion.

Pokhara Finance Limited (PFL) led the turnover amount with total transactions worth Rs 24 crores. Janaki Finance Limited (JFL), Nerude Mirmire Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NMLBBL), and Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SLBSL) each gained 10% and hit the positive circuit for the day.

Conversely, Shine Resunga Development Bank (SHINE) faced the highest loss of 4.28%, closing at a market price of Rs 400 per share.

In terms of sector indices, all sectors closed in positive territory except the Development Bank Index and the Trading Index.
