Study on Iron Mines Excavation Gains Pace in Rukum East

December 11: The government has started a comprehensive study to excavate iron mines in Rukum (East).  A feasibility study has been initiated for excavation since last week after detection of iron mine in Bhume Rural Municipality.
A team consisting of geologists of the Department of Mines and Geology Sujan Devkota and Saunak Bhandari started carrying out feasibility study in Bhume Rural Municipality-3, Jhumlabang.
In the past, the task of comprehensive study did not gain momentum due to financial reason. Bhume Rural Municipality’s Chairperson Hom Prakash Shrestha said that fresh studies on iron mines have been started in several places of the rural municipality.
The locals also informed that iron mine excavations are taking place in the areas where iron mines were detected earlier. -- RSS
