Nepal Accepts USD 20 Million in Grant from World Bank for Food Security  

December 1: The government has decided to accept grant aid of USD 20 million from the World Bank for food security and nutrition projects.    
Sharing the decisions made by the recent meeting of the Council of Ministers, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma said that the government will also accept Rs 650 million grant aid provided by the Swiss government for the development of the education sector.    
Likewise, a decision has been made to depute Nepalese Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force personnel to build temporary housing for Jajarkot earthquake survivors. According to the decision of the District Security Committee, it has been decided to instruct the relevant agencies to provide the necessary personnel from the Nepalese Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force immediately, Minister Sharma said. -- RSS
