Electric Vehicle App 'eDrive Nepal' Launched in Nepal

November 19: Edrive Nepal Pvt Ltd has launched ride-sharing app 'eDrive Nepal' in the country.

The company launched the service for electric taxis and e-scooters with an investment of Rs 140 million. The company informed that the new service is cheaper than other services of similar kind.

Edrive Nepal added that they use new vehicles with accidental insurance in addition to features like OPT system and GPS system installed to ensure safety during the ride.

Member of Parliament Mahesh Bartaula along with Bagmati Province MP Apsara Chapagain and Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority Kulman Ghising inaugurated the 'eDrive app' and taxi service by hoisting a green flag.

On that occasion, MP Bartaula said that the consumption of electricity will increase with the use of electric vehicles. It will also protect the environment and billions of rupees will be saved for the purchase of petrol. At present, the company itself has brought 20 taxis into operation and is preparing to operate 100 more taxis in the near future.
