Extreme Heat Closes Schools in Sarlahi

June 4: Excessive heat for the past few days has closed schools in Sarlahi. The schools will stay closed from June 4 to June 7 owing to soaring mercury.

All the community and institutional schools in the district have been shut for four days due to the scorching heat, said Ashok Kumar Rauniar, Officiating Chief of the Education Development and Coordination Unit, Sarlahi.

According to him, the summer holiday has been given to the schools for four days. This holiday would be deducted from the monsoon holiday.

The four-day holiday has been announced in view of the situation that unbearable heat has affected the teaching and learning activities at schools. The ongoing exams will however continue as per the schedule, he added.
