Thailand-Bound NAC Aircraft Makes Emergency Landing in Bangladesh

December 1: A Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) aircraft heading towards Thailand from Kathmandu was forced to make an emergency landing in Bangladesh on Wednesday.

According to the flag-carrier of Nepal, the narrow-body aircraft  made an emergency landing at Chatgaun International Airport of Bangladesh after the plane’s indicator showed smoke in the cargo compartment.

“We checked the cargo compartment after the indicator showed smoke but everything was fine. So the pilots have been instructed to resume the flight,” said an official of NAC.

The NAC said that the cargo from the RA 401 flight was unloaded in Bangladesh and preparations were made to resume the flight to Bangkok.

The NAC official said that the Airbus A-320 was carrying 152 passengers.
