NOC Hikes Prices of Petroleum Products Again   

January 20: The state-owned Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased price of petroleum products effective from Wednesday midnight (January 19).    

As per the new adjustment, prices of diesel, petrol and kerosene have increased by Rs 3 per liter while aviation turbine fuel (ATF) is up by Rs 5 (for domestic flights) per litre and USD 100 per kiloliter (for international flights).    

According NOC, diesel and kerosene are now being sold for Rs 122 per liter each while petrol costs Rs 139 per litre. Similarly, aviation turbine fuel (for domestic flights) is being sold for Rs 106 per liter while ATF for international flights now costs USD 995 per kilolitre.    

However, price of cooking gas remains unchanged, according to NOC. The state-owned oil monopoly said that the price of cooking gas (LPG) has not been changed despite projecting a loss of over Rs 1.88 billion for the next two weeks after price adjustment.

Prior to this, the NOC had increased the prices of petroleum products on October 29 and November 10.
