New Resort in Chitwan with Investment of Rs 320 Million comes into Operation

December 22: Chitwan Mid Town (CMT) Resort, established with investment of Rs 320 million with the joint venture of 62 people involved in various sectors, has come into operation. The resort made an official announcement of its operation amid a press conference on Monday, December 20.

The construction of the resort commenced in the year 2019 and was completed recently. At the conference, chairman of the resort Bhesh Raj Duwadi informed that the resort has been brought into operation targeting different businesses of Bharatpur city and internal as well as external tourists.

According to chairman Duwadi, there are a total of four halls with one of the event halls with a seating capacity 2,500 and three other small halls. The resort has a cafeteria with a capacity to accommodate 100 people, a bar, a coffee shop, swimming pool and water fountains.

Duwadi informed that this resort has introduced a kitchen with European technology for the first time in Chitwan, where cooking is done using electricity and steam. He said that a bus with a disco bar would come into operation in the coming days. Duwadi added that the resort has been brought into operation targeting various parties, seminars, gatherings and conventions in the region.

There are 42 well-equipped rooms in the resort. In addition, there is an arrangement for a meeting hall with a capacity of 20 people on each floor. Speaking at the conference, Madan Ghimire, managing director of the resort, said that the services of the resort started as soon as the construction of the resort with earthquake-resistant iron pillars and structures was completed. According to Ghimire, 62 people have got direct employment here till date. He added that it will be increased to 100 in the near future.

Spread over an area of one bigha, the resort is divided into three parts namely Chitwan Hall, Mid Hall and Town Hall. The Chitwan Hall has a capacity to accommodate 200 people, Mid Hall has a capacity of 700 people and Town Hall has a capacity of 2,000 people. Managing Director Ghimire said that the resort has made arrangements for short rest and nap for the passengers traveling through the highway.
