October 19: A meeting of the Council of Ministers has decided to form a delegation led by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to attend the 'world leaders' summit' on climate change to be held in Glasgow of the United Kingdom (UK).
The 26th Conference of Party (COP-26) on climate change is taking place in Glasgow from October 31 to November 12.
Government spokesperson Gyanendra Bahadur Karki confirmed that the cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to form a delegation led by the Prime Minister to attend the World Leaders’ Summit on Climate Change in Glasgow. PM Deuba will leave for Gasgow in the first week of November.
This conference would be the first foreign tour of Deuba after being appointed as the new Prime Minister.
Since PM Deuba is attending the conference under the UN in the UK, his visit will not be bilateral.
