Nepali footwear brand Goldstar enters US market 

October 12:  Goldstar Shoes, a popular Nepal footwear brand, has formally entered into the US market. Issuing a statement on Sunday, Kiran Shoes Manufacturers, the manufacturer and distributor of Goldstar shoes, said that it appointed an authorized distributor for its products in the American market.  

According to the statement, it organized a grand launch of Goldstar Shoes in New York on Sunday amid a presence of prominent guests. 

Bishnu Prashad Gautam,  Consul General of Nepal in New York, was the chief guest of the launch. Mark Jaffe, President and CEO of Greater New York Chamber of Commerce, along with leaders of diaspora organizations, and other dignitaries were also present in the launching ceremony. 
During the launch, Amir Pratap JB Rana, Chairman and Managing Director of Kiran Shoes Manufacturers, said that Goldstar shoes will now be available from designated places in the US. 
“We are proud to introduce the products in the US that are designed at the top of the world,” said Chairman Rana.   
Also speaking at the event, Gautam, Consul General of Nepal in New York, said that it was a moment of joy and pride not only for him but also for entrepreneurs and the business community of Nepal.  

Jaffe, President and CEO of Greater New York Chamber of Commerce, said that he was happy to welcome the Nepali footwear brand in the US. “I am sure that this brand will win the hearts of American consumers. Consumers want to buy comfortable footwear. If Goldstar satisfied consumers' demand, it would be able to compete with other foreign brands including Nike,” he said. 

Vidushi Rana, Executive Director of Kiran Shoes Manufacturing, said that she is filled with immense gratitude and pride to announce the launch of Goldstar shoes in New York.  “It is our company's dream and mission  to take the brand to every continent in the world . And slowly and steadily we are working towards realising that dream,” she said. “I hope the US market will accept and love our brand as much as it is loved back home,” she added.
