 Jyoti Bikas Bank to Support Second Phase of Warm Baby Project    

July 25: Jyoti Bikas Bank has reached an understanding with National Innovation Centre to support the second phase of the Warm Baby Project.

As per the agreement, the bank will provide financial assistance to install baby warmers developed by the centre at birthing centers across the country.

The bank informed that the assistance will be provided under its corporate social responsibility.

The bank’s representative and Chairperson of the Centre Dr Mahabir Pun exchanged agreement papers in this regard amid an event organized at the head office of Jyoti Bikas Bank on Saturday (July 24) on the occasion of the bank’s 13th anniversary.
According to a statement issued by the bank, its board member Surendra Nepal handed over Rs 1 million for the project.
First phase of the project concluded in the fiscal year, 2076/77 BS. Under the first phase, baby warmers were installed at 10 hospitals including Madhyabindu Hospital, Kapilvastu Community Hospital, Pyuthan Hospital, Mahakali Hospital, Ram Gopalpur Health Centre, Amda Hospital, Khotang District Hospital, Samari Health Centre, Beni Hospital and Burtibang Hospital.    
The bank said it now plans to install baby warmers at 800 birthing centers by 2023.
