President Bhandari Pledges to Resolve Problems Faced by Women Entrepreneurs

January 31: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has pledged to resolve the problems faced by women entrepreneurs after acknowledging that it is not easy to lead business enterprises by women.

During a meeting with the winners of Nubiz Business Women Summit and Awards 2021 on Saturday (January 30), President Bhandari told the women entrepreneurs to share their problems in written form and she would take necessary measures in coordination with the government to resolve those problems.

“There is a big challenge for women to become entrepreneurs. I understand this clearly. Women should not lose confidence. The government is there to support women entrepreneurs with various programmes,” said President Bhandari.

“I will take the initiative to resolve the problems faced by women entrepreneurs,” she added.

The president also thanked New Business Age for organising the summit and training to women entrepreneurs from across the country.

Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel had inaugurated the summit and awards ceremony on Friday (January 29). During the inauguration, Minister Poudel had expressed government’s commitment to promote women entrepreneurship in the country. The awards ceremony was initially scheduled for March last year but was pushed back due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
