Preparations for the 17th edition of the NADA Auto Show are in the final stages, with exhibitors setting up stalls ahead of the six-day event, organisers said on Monday.

The exhibition will run from August 19 to August 24 at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu under the slogan “Go for More.” Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to inaugurate the show.

The expo will feature internal combustion, electric and hybrid vehicles, along with smart mobility platforms and emerging transport technologies.

Nineteen passenger car brands, 13 light commercial vehicle brands, four motorcycle brands and 35 component and service companies—including lubricant, tyre, battery and garage equipment suppliers—are taking part. Financial institutions will also be represented during the show.

Headline attractions include UNITREE’s quadruped robots and the Deepal electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle.

Other highlights include a vintage motor show with models such as the Morris Minor, Fiat, Mini Cooper, VW Bus and Toyota RT40; a “Made in Nepal” pavilion showcasing locally assembled vehicles; and an international business pavilion.

Workshops, panel discussions and seminars on electric vehicle trends, smart mobility and sustainability are also planned.

Organisers expect more than 100,000 visitors over the course of the show.
