The NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 kicked off on Wednesday, August 6, with an impressive showcase of 50 vehicle brands and the launch of 35 new models, drawing thousands of visitors to the event on its opening day.
Organised by the newly formed Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), the five-day event runs through August 10 and marks a major push by Nepal’s auto industry to spotlight innovation in electric mobility, passenger vehicles, and two-wheelers.
“The turnout was exciting, with over 10,000 people attending on the first day alone,” said Pratik Aryal, Managing Director of 88 Collective Pvt. Ltd., the event’s official media partner. “A total of 35 new vehicles were launched today—15 four-wheelers, 15 two-wheelers, and 5 commercial vehicles. More launches are expected in the coming days.”
From Thursday onward, the expo will be open till 8 PM, with ticket sales available until 7 PM.
The expo has also become a hotspot for promotional campaigns, with brands offering cash discounts, low-interest financing, exchange bonuses, and giveaways. Some models are being offered with discounts of up to Rs 2 million, while prices across the show range from Rs 2.9 million to over Rs 12.5 million.
Key four-wheeler debuts included the Maxus MIFA-7 MPV, Jaecoo’s J-5 SUV, the Forthing Friday EV which marks the brand’s entry into Nepal and Mahindra’s BE.6 and XEV 9e electric models. BYD’s Seagull hatchback was also launched to strong consumer interest.
On the two-wheeler segment, Agni Motoinc introduced two BGauss electric scooters—BG RUV 350 and BG C12, while Italian brand Morbidelli debuted with its T352X and T252X adventure motorcycles. Other notable entries included KTM’s 390 Enduro R, 390 Adventure, and 250 Adventure, alongside Ather’s Rizta electric scooter and Segway’s expanded EV lineup.
Organisers estimate that more than 80,000 visitors will attend the expo by the time it concludes on Sunday, August 10.
