RSP Leads Across Remaining Nine Constituencies in Kathmandu

As vote counting continues in the House of Representatives election, candidates from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) are leading in the remaining nine constituencies of Kathmandu. 

RSP’s Ranju Neupane has already secured victory in Kathmandu-1.

By 1:00 p.m. on Friday, the vote tallies in the other constituencies showed:

• Kathmandu-2: Sunil KC (RSP) leads with 5,897 votes, ahead of Nepali Congress’s Kavir Sharma with 2,206 votes and Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s Kuntidevi Pokharel with 1,469 votes.
• Kathmandu-3: Rajunath Pandey (RSP) leads with 6,584 votes, followed by Kulman Ghising of Ujyalo Nepal Party with 4,220 votes and Ramesh Aryal (Nepali Congress) with 2,190 votes.
• Kathmandu-4: Pukar Bam (RSP) tops with 6,284 votes, ahead of Congress’s Sachin Timilsina with 1,907 votes and CPN-UML’s Rajan Bhattarai with 1,479 votes.
• Kathmandu-5: Sasmit Pokharel (RSP) leads with 11,433 votes, followed by Pradeep Paudel (Nepali Congress) with 3,556 votes and Ishwar Pokharel (CPN-UML) with 1,908 votes.
• Kathmandu-6: Shishir Khanal (RSP) leads with 10,615 votes, ahead of Subuj Krishna Baniya Kshetri (Congress) with 2,775 votes and Aman Kumar Maske (CPN-UML) with 1,612 votes.
• Kathmandu-7: Ganesh Parajuli (RSP) holds the lead with 10,273 votes, followed by Prakash Shrestha (CPN-UML) with 1,672 votes and Basant Prasad Manandhar (Nepali Communist Party) with 1,389 votes.
• Kathmandu-8: Biraj Bhakta Shrestha (RSP) leads with 14,751 votes, ahead of Suman Sayami (Nepali Communist Party) with 1,995 votes and Sapana Rajbhandari (Congress) with 1,645 votes.
• Kathmandu-9: DP Aryal (RSP) leads with 5,559 votes, followed by Nanumaiya Bastola (Congress) with 1,116 votes and Ajaykranti Shakya (CPN-UML) with 970 votes.
• Kathmandu-10: Pradeep Bist (RSP) holds the lead with 8,508 votes, ahead of Himal Karki (Congress) with 2,056 votes and Binod Shrestha (CPN-UML) with 1,221 votes.
