Vote counting has begun in 13 of the 26 constituencies in Lumbini Province. In most of these constituencies, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is maintaining the lead.
Counting is currently underway in Rupandehi 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5; Banke 1, 2, and 3; Kapilvastu 3; Dang 1; Bardiya 2; Rukum East; and Palpa 1.
Among the constituencies where counting has started, RSP is leading in nine. CPN UML is ahead in two constituencies, while the Nepali Congress and the Nepal Communist Party are leading in one constituency each.
In Banke 2, CPN UML candidate Mohammad Ishtiyaq Rayi is ahead, while UML’s Pramod Kumar Yadav is leading in Rupandehi 4. In Kapilvastu 3, Nepali Congress candidate Abhishek Shah is ahead, and in Rukum East, Nepal Communist Party candidate Pushpa Kamal Dahal is leading. In the remaining constituencies where counting is underway, RSP candidates are in the lead.
Preparations for vote counting are still ongoing in the remaining constituencies.
