A fire that broke out at Daura Thakali restaurant in Pulchowk, Lalitpur, on Tuesday afternoon, March 3, has been brought under control.
Firefighters and security personnel responded to the blaze, preventing it from spreading further, police said. No human casualties were reported.
Police, citing the restaurant owners, said the fire may have been triggered by an electrical short circuit.
“The blaze also caused two to four cooking gas cylinders to explode,” a personnel from District Police Range, Lalitpur, told New Business Age.
Authorities were still assessing the extent of the damage at the time of reporting.
