NOC Increases Fuel Prices

The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene effective from Monday, February 16, following a decision by its Board of Directors.

Issuing a statement, the NOC said that the price of petrol has been increased by Re 1 per litre while that of diesel and kerosene has been increased by Rs 3 per litre.

With the latest adjustment, petrol now costs Rs 154.5 per litre in the first category, Rs 156 in the second category and Rs 157 in the third category.

Similarly, diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 139.50 per litre in first-category districts, Rs 141 in second-category districts and Rs 142 in third-category districts.

According to the NOC, the depots at Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj fall under the first category. The Dang depot has been placed in the second category, while Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal depots have been classified under the third category.
