Gold Price Drops by Rs 13,400 Per Tola

The price of gold fell sharply in the domestic market on Monday, declining by Rs 13,400 per tola (11.66 grams), according to the Federation of Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

With the latest adjustment, gold is being traded at Rs 286,600 per tola, down from Rs 300,000 per tola on Sunday.

Silver prices also declined on Monday. The precious metal is being traded at Rs 5,200 per tola, a drop of Rs 300 from Rs 5,500 per tola a day earlier.

The Federation said gold had reached an all-time high on January 29, when it was traded at Rs 339,300 per tola. -- RSS
