The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the prices of diesel and kerosene by Rs 3 per litre, effective from Sunday, February 1, following a decision by its Board of Directors.
With the revision, diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 136.50 per litre in first-category districts, Rs 138 in second-category districts and Rs 139 in third-category districts.
According to the NOC, the depots at Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj fall under the first category. The Dang depot has been placed in the second category, while Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal depots have been classified under the third category.
Meanwhile, the state-run oil monopoly has reduced the price of aviation fuel. The price has been cut by Rs 1 per litre for domestic flights and by $7 per kilolitre for international flights.
The prices of petrol and cooking gas, however, remain unchanged. – With inputs from RSS
