The Nepal Fintech Expo 2026 opened on Friday, January 2, at Heritage Garden in Sanepa, Lalitpur, with Dr Satyendra Timilsina, Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank, inaugurating the event.
Organized by Fintech Alliance Nepal, the expo aims to highlight innovations across digital finance, payment systems, banking technology, embedded finance, cybersecurity, cloud banking, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and other emerging technologies shaping the financial sector.
The exhibition features over 60 exhibitor booths, a startup demo zone, a tech community area, and experiential fintech showcases, alongside industry-focused knowledge sessions. Key topics include digital transformation, next-generation payment technology, credit scoring, data analytics, fund management, cyber resilience, financial inclusion, embedded finance, digital lending, and the expansion of payment systems.
The two-day event is expected to attract more than 4,000 participants, including representatives from banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, investment and capital markets, IT and software firms, fintech and tech startups, government and regulatory bodies, donor agencies, international delegates, and potential investors.
