TAAN, KATA Sign MoU to Boost Bilateral Tourism

The Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN) and the Korea Association of Travel Agents (KATA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday, December 16, to strengthen collaboration for bilateral tourism promotion.

It was inked by Sagar Pandey, President of TAAN, and Kim Beom-jae, Vice President of KATA, in the presence of Park Tae-Young, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal.

The agreement seeks to foster active cooperation between TAAN and KATA to promote tourism, enhance mutual collaboration, and further strengthen the friendship between the two countries.

Under the MoU, TAAN will work with KATA to promote Nepalese tourism products and destinations, encouraging more Koreans to visit Nepal. The association will also support the safety of Korean tourists through information dissemination, safety training, and prompt search and rescue operations.

Additionally, TAAN will back KATA’s initiatives to attract Nepali travelers, while KATA will collaborate with TAAN in organizing events, campaigns, and promotional activities to draw more visitors from Korea.
