District Administration Office, Kathmandu

The Classification Facilitation Committee, coordinated by the Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, has so far classified 169 people injured during the Gen Z protests on 8 and 9 September.

The District Administration Office said it would forward its recommendations after finalising the list to the Ministry of Health and Population, which will determine the necessary services and social-security support for the injured.

Assistant Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Muktiram Rijal, said the assessments were conducted in two phases on 21 and 28 November.

Of the total, 15 have been listed as critically injured. Fifty-one have been classified as seriously injured. Thirty-six fall under the moderately injured category. Sixty-seven have been recorded as having minor injuries.
