Hyatt Centric Soalteemode Kathmandu has launched its festive calendar with its annual Cake Mixing Ceremony. The hotel hosted guests, associates and media to celebrate the start of the Christmas season.
The event featured a long table laid out with dried fruits, nuts and spices. Raisins, apricots, dates, almonds and cloves were arranged alongside candied peels and colourful mixes. These ingredients will be used for the hotel’s Christmas cakes.

Participants mixed the ingredients with spirits, honey and syrups. Hotel officials said the ceremony symbolises abundance and good fortune for the new year. Guests joined the culinary team, wearing aprons and gloves, and took part in the preparation.
The gathering also included signature cocktails and handcrafted canapés.
The hotel said the annual ceremony is one of its most anticipated festive traditions. It added that it looks forward to welcoming visitors to a season of curated events and hospitality.
