Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has brought its Twin Otter aircraft ‘Alpha Bravo Tango’ back into commercial service following successful maintenance and test flights.

Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, NAC spokesperson Anil Ghimire said the Twin Otter aircraft, which has been providing services to remote areas of the country, underwent maintenance and a successful test flight.

The aircraft had been grounded since September for engine maintenance and annual inspection. Following the test flight, NAC resumed domestic commercial flights of both its Twin Otter aircraft from Tuesday, November 11.

The state-run airliner expressed confidence that resuming the flights would make travel to remote areas in the eastern region more convenient for passengers.

Both aircraft had earlier been grounded for extended period foe engine replacement and maintenance and resumed flights only in May this year. But one of the aircraft was again grounded in September. -- RSS
