The price of gold has been falling continuously for the past four days, driven by a decline in international market rates.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, fine gold is being traded at Rs 236,300 per tola (11.66 grams) on Wednesday, marking a continued downward trend throughout this week.
On Sunday, gold was priced at Rs 241,900 per tola, a drop of Rs 11,600 compared to the previous rate. It fell by another Rs 2,000 on Monday and Rs 2,900 on Tuesday, before settling at the current level.
In contrast, the price of silver has edged up slightly. Silver rose by Rs 45 per tola from Tuesday to reach Rs 2,965 per tola.
In the international market, gold is being traded at USD 3,960 per ounce. -- RSS
